Images of....The National Memorial Arboretum

near Alrewas, Staffordshire. These are some of the various memorials and gardens.



The Merchant Navy Convoy woodland - 2535 trees, each representing a British merchant ship 
or fishing boat lost during WWII

 Ex-POW Association - dedicated to those incarcerated in Stalag XIB, XID & 357 during WWII.
The gates commemorate those opened by the 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars on 16 April 1945,
which freed 17,000 POWs
